At present, laser cutting machines are all high-power and heavy-duty equipment. The cost of a laser cutting machine is tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. Its good performance makes subsequent work smoother and reduces costs. Therefore, we must pay attention when operating, and we must pay attention to maintenance and maintenance to increase the service life of the equipment, save costs, create greater benefits, and ensure good use status.

Each laser cutting machine is equipped with an "Equipment Maintenance Manual", which many users have not paid enough attention to. The life of each electromechanical component contained in the equipment will be affected by the surrounding environment of the equipment (more dust and smoke), and it is also prone to aging or even failure. In addition, it is also very important to reasonably maintain the environment around the fiber laser cutting machine. For example, some users place the spraying work area near the laser cutting machine. Long-term use will corrode electrical components and affect the cutting quality of laser cutting. Regular maintenance (dust removal, refueling) of the equipment daily, weekly, and monthly according to the "Maintenance Manual" will effectively reduce the impact of the environment on each component, so that it can operate efficiently and trouble-free for a long time. The stable and normal operation of the laser cutting machine is inseparable from the usual correct operation and daily maintenance.
Track cleaning:
(It is recommended to clean once every half a month and shut down the machine for operation) The guide rail and linear axis are one of the core components of the equipment, and their function is to guide and support. In order to ensure that the machine tool has a high processing accuracy, its guide rails and linear axes are required to have high guiding accuracy and good motion stability. During the operation of the equipment, a large amount of corrosive dust and smoke will be generated during the workpiece processing. Based on the long-term and large-scale deposition of these smoke on the surface of the guide rails and linear axes, it will have a great impact on the processing accuracy of the equipment, and will form corrosion spots on the surface of the linear axis of the guide rails, shortening the service life of the equipment. In order to make the machine tool work normally and stably and ensure the processing quality of the product, the daily maintenance of the guide rails and linear axes must be done carefully. Note: Please prepare dry cotton cloth and lubricating oil before cleaning the guide rail.
Cleaning of linear guide rail: First move the laser head to the far right (or left), find the linear guide rail as shown in the figure above, wipe it with dry cotton cloth until it is bright and dust-free, and add a little lubricating oil (sewing machine oil can be used, do not use engine oil when cutting), and slowly push the laser head left and right several times to evenly distribute the lubricating oil. Cleaning of roller guide rail: Move the crossbeam to the inside, open the end covers on both sides of the machine, find the guide rail as shown in the figure above, wipe the contact area between the guide rails and the roller on both sides with dry cotton cloth, and then move the crossbeam to wipe the remaining area.
Replace water and clean the water tank.
Recommendation: Clean the water tank and replace the circulating water once a week.
Note: Before the machine works, make sure that the laser tube is filled with circulating water.
The water quality and temperature of the circulating water directly affect the service life of the laser tube. It is recommended to use pure water and keep the water temperature below 35°C. If it exceeds 35°C, you need to replace the circulating water, or add ice cubes to the water to lower the water temperature (it is recommended that users choose a cooler, or use two water tanks).
Clean the water tank: first turn off the power, unplug the water inlet pipe, let the water in the laser tube automatically flow into the water tank, open the water tank, take out the water pump, and remove the dirt on the water pump. Clean the water tank, replace the circulating water, put the water pump back into the water tank, insert the water pipe connected to the water pump into the water inlet, and arrange the joint. Turn on the power of the water pump separately and run it for 2-3 minutes (so that the laser tube is full of circulating water).
Fan cleaning:
Long-term use of the fan will cause a large amount of solid dust to accumulate in the fan, making the fan produce a lot of noise, which is not conducive to exhaust and deodorization. When the fan has insufficient suction and poor smoke exhaust, first turn off the power, remove the inlet and outlet pipes on the fan, remove the dust inside, then turn the fan upside down, pull the blades inside clean, and then install the fan.
Lens cleaning.
(It is recommended to clean before work every day, and the equipment must be turned off) There are 3 reflectors and 1 focusing mirror on the metal laser cutting machine (reflector No. 1 is located at the emission outlet of the laser tube, that is, the upper left corner of the machine, reflector No. 2 is located at the left end of the beam, reflector No. 3 is located at the top of the fixed part of the laser head, and the focusing mirror is located in the adjustable lens barrel at the bottom of the laser head). The laser is reflected and focused by these lenses and then emitted from the laser head. The lens is easily contaminated with dust or other contaminants, which will cause loss of laser or damage to the lens. No. 1 and No. 2 lenses do not need to be removed for cleaning. Just use lens cleaning paper with cleaning fluid to carefully wipe along the center of the lens. Wipe the edge in a rotating manner. Lens No. 3 and focusing lens need to be removed from the frame and wiped in the same way, and then put back in the same way after wiping.
Notes:
1. The lens should be wiped gently and the surface coating should not be damaged.
2. Handle it with care during wiping to prevent falling. After the motion system has been working for a period of time, the screws and couplings at the motion joints will loosen, thus affecting the stability of the mechanical movement. Therefore, during the operation of the machine, it is necessary to frequently observe whether there are abnormal noises or abnormal phenomena in the transmission parts, and find out the problem in time. Firmness and maintenance. At the same time, the screws should be tightened one by one with tools after the machine has been used for a period of time. The first tightening should be about one month after the equipment is used.
Optical path detection.
The optical path system of the metal laser cutting machine is completed by the reflection of the reflector and the focusing of the focusing mirror. In the optical path, there is no problem of offset of the focusing mirror, but the three reflectors are fixed with mechanical parts, and the possibility of offset is relatively large. Although there is usually no deviation, it is recommended that users check whether the optical path is normal before each work.
